Photography at Silken Berlaymont Brussels **** : "The Art of Photography, a Vision of European Culture"

Since the opening in 1996, the hotel Silken Berlaymont Brussels, previously Dorint hotel Brussels Europe, has been a living Museum in the image of our time.

The Photoconcept of the hotel can be seen in 3 different factors. Permanent photo collection, Zoom Gallery and the annual Silken Photoplate Award.

More than 450 Artworks from more than 100 European Artists out of 12 European Countries are decorating the hotel. You can view these picutres in the lobby, rooms, bar, restaurant, meeting rooms and Relax Spa.

Every year, the hotel Silken Berlaymont, organizes the
"Silken Photoplate Award", previously known as the "Dorint Photoplate Award".
This is a photo contest where professional photographers and students in the photography can participate. The winning series of picutres will be reproduced on the well known "Silken Photoplates". These dinner showplates are used during one year in the restaurant of the hotel : "L'Objectif".
